Huys te Britten is a multi-functional complex in Katwijk aan Zee: at the edge of the dunes, yet right in the Randstad. Huys te Britten offers various packages to the private and corporate market. The name 'Huys te Britten' originates from the Roman settlement of 'Arx Brittanica', also referred to as 'Brittenburg,' or 'Borcht te Bretten' by historians. The sunken ruin lies on the Katwijk coast and was part of the Lugdunum settlement. In early times, brisk trade with England and Scotland was conducted from here.

• Various meeting rooms from 90 to 280 m²
• A plaza with snack corner
• A modern restaurant with a spacious terrace
• An indoor and outdoor swimming pool
• An amphitheatre

In Huys te Britten there is an elevator, extra wide doors, a disabled toilet and there are no bumps. In this way the building is accessible to everyone!

Huys te Britten is ideal for meetings, symposia, workshops, training, courses, presentations, dinners and parties for up to 300 persons. We look forward to working with you to compile a tailor made program with the emphasis on hospitality.

Huys te BrittenIn addition to plenary events, Huys te Britten offers hourly rates. Therefore, you can hold part of a meeting or conference here, or split up into sub-groups. For exclusive company or institution receptions, your corporate flag can be hung up on the flagpole and your logo can be displayed at the welcome screen inside at the entrance.

The location in the dunes close to the sea and beach and the former fishing village of Katwijk offers countless ways of spending your lunch break.


Consideration for the environment
In the construction of Huys te Britten, much consideration was given to sustainability. The building is well insulated; the materials used in construction are economical in terms of energy consumption and have a low impact on the environment. During construction, there was close consultation with environmental groups. Examples of excellent sustainability features in the building include the new Captura pool filter and the district heating network, which facilitates the use of excess heat emitted in Huys te Britten to heat the Dune Houses. Our sustainable efforts made it happen that we received the golden Green Key. The Green Key is the international eco label awarded to tourism, meeting and leisure establishments. Companies awarded with the Green Key care about sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, onsite consideration for the environment and the nature in the area.
