Collaborating companies

De Kiteschool

Huys te Britten works in collaboration with De Kiteschool.nl, who can organise various activities for you on the beach or at sea. Choose from kite surfing, power kiting, surfing, banana sailing, body boarding, rafting, raft building, wave kayaking, beach volleyball, wakeboarding and more.

Manege Jonker

Riding school in Katwijk, near De Noordduinen and very close to the beach. Daily there are horse-breaking and jumping lessons by experienced instructors for all ages and all levels: for kids and adults, for freshmen and advanced horse riders. There are beach and dune tours frequently.

Geen Kunst

The creative workshops are both fascinating as entertaining. In a playfull way you creating your own painting, (sand)sculpture, mosaic or others. The workshop takes about 2,5 hours and can be tailored to your needs.

El Thoro

What makes El Thoro's activities unique is that they entertain young and old in a relaxed, but fun and active way. Ideal for corporate outings, schools, bachelor parties, or time together with friends. You can easily design your own package of activities, or simply choose one of the existing packages.

Passione Italia

Katwijk

VVV Katwijk

Sun, sea, beach and the atmosphere are the core values of Katwijk aan Zee. You can also enjoy shopping in shopping centre Zeezijde, with pleasant streets behind the boulevard. A variety of museums and historical sites are also in Katwijk. During the winter you can also do a lot in Katwijk. For example, you can take walks or bike rides through the dunes and taste the culinary offerings. Katwijk refreshes!

Gemeente Katwijk

Since January 2006 Katwijk, Rijnsburg and Valkenburg together a new community with over 60.000 inhabitants. The fusion is booted to strengthen the position of one new community in the vicinity. The name 'Katwijk' is chosen because of the brand awareness. An important principle of the fusion is to keep the own culture, traditions and natures. That is why Katwijk even after the fusion is striving for a development by which one is proud of tradition, but nevertheless is attentive to prolongation.

Museum van Volkenkunde

Museum van Volkenkunde (Museum of Ethnology) maintains collections of world fame, brought together by a series of illustrious collectors. The collective history is closely linked to that of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

Naturalis

Discover nature in Naturalis and admire at close quarters thousands of real animals, plants, minerals, stones and fossils: from hummingbirds to zebra, from dinosaurs to shrimps. Silently enjoy their wonderful beauty or draw inspiration from the wealth of colours and shapes. Naturalis is constantly in motion: there are always new exhibitions, workshops, guided tours and children's activities.

Katwijks Museum

In the Katwijk Museum memories of the coastal town's past are vividly portrayed in paintings, photographs, costumes, ornaments, model ships, fishery artefacts, several period rooms, a reconstructed ship's bridge and the interiors of a drapery shop, a sail maker's and a coopery. Temporary displays, where work of contemporary artists may be admired, are held on a regular basis.

Space Expo

You can see and experience everything about space at Space Expo in Noordwijk. See what it was like for the first men on the Moon. Experience the simulated launch of an Ariane rocket ‘live’. Discover the world of satellites with the test models of European space missions. This and a lot more at Space Expo!

Corpus

Something unique has grown in the Netherlands: a world's first: a spectacular experience around the human body. Corpus is a 'journey through the human body' during which the visitor can see, feel and hear how the human body works and what roles healthy food, healthy life and plenty of exercise plays. Corpus offers a variety of information and provides education and entertainment with this journey as well as a vast number of permanent and variable exhibitions.

Stichting Duinbehoud

Stichting Duinbehoud (Society for Dune Conservation) is a national organisation for nature conservation. It aims to strengthen the interests of the nature of the Dutch coast and the interests of nature lovers. The Society for Dune Conservation tries to reinforce nature along the coast by means of campaign, consultation and procedures. Advice is sent on a regular basis to the government and managers on ways to improve coastal protection or on designing new areas. Furthermore, information is given in terms of values and threats of the coastal areas, the beach and the North Sea.

NBTC

This is the website for tourism and recreation in the Netherlands. The digital 'travel book' of the Dutch Board of Tourism & Conventions full of tips for holidays and days out. Here are ideas for walks and bike rides, exciting exhibitions and events and tips on the best places to enjoy!

Green Key

The Green Key is a diploma awarded companies within tourism: hotels, youth hostels, conference- and holiday centres, campsites, holiday houses, leisure facilities and restaurants. To obtain the Green Key the company has to fulfil a list with numerous environmental requirements. These requirements are contained in a number of criteria. Besides pure environmental demands (for example to control the production of waste and the use of water, electricity, etc.), the criteria include demands on policy, action plans, education and communication. Obtaining The Green Key shows the sense of responsibility a organisation has for its surroundings and society.

Recreatiecentrum De Zuidduinen

Recreatiecentrum De Zuidduinen is a small and cosy campsite in a magnificent location. Step out of your caravan or tent, cross one row of dunes and the North Sea is at your feet!

The site itself lies in an official nature reserve area. Rest, tranquillity and a fantastic species of flora and fauna are the ingredients of the immediate surroundings. The centre of the village of Katwijk is a mere ten minutes walk from the site.

Recreatiecentrum Koningshof

The kind of place you might not expect to find in the Randstad. A holiday resort with an overwhelmingly green feel to it. It goes without saying you will find rest here. You are guaranteed a spacious pitch, even in the high season. The beach and dunes are within 5 km. In addition, the vibrant cities of Leiden, Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Delft and The Hague are quickly reached, should you decide to seek out the congenial bustle. Koningshof: delightful relaxation and enjoyment for active families as well as those seeking peace and quiet.

Recreatiecentrum De Noordduinen

Recreatiecentrum De Noordduinen offers you everything you need for a richly varied holiday. The name already gives the location away - this campsite is in the dunes north of Katwijk aan Zee, only 300 metres from the beach! The stretch of dunes between Katwijk and Noordwijk is a beautiful area, ideal for nature lovers and anyone in search of peace and quiet. It is a place where you can walk, cycle, picnic and jog undisturbed. The sheltered location in the dunes between luscious greenery gives the campsite a pleasant, relaxed feeling. There's also the North Sea which has the broadest sandy beaches in the Netherlands, just at your doorstep!

Recreatiecentrum Delftse Hout

You love the freedom of nature, but occasionally you would like to exchange it for the variety of a lively city? One moment you would like to cycle or walk through a peaceful and quiet environment, and on other moments you would like to visit one of the cultural attractions in the historical centre of Delft or go shopping in The Hague, Rotterdam or Amsterdam. Come and visit Recreatiecentrum Delftse Hout, a 4-star camping- and caravanning park on the eastside of Delft.

As of 2010 Recreatiecentrum Delftse Hout is owned by the park manager and his family. The partnership with the 3 other Koningshof sites will be maintained.
